Episode Transcript

What if you get to steer the conversation so that we experience a Nerdgasm together? Instead of being a passive listener, you get the chance to participate and choose.

Welcome to the Conversologist Show, the place where we explore the art and science of conversation in the digital space, technology is a powerful enabler, but it's the blend of creativity, the art and understanding the science that keeps our communication and emotional connections at the core.

An interactive sub-series

Hey, everyone. Jam Mayer here, your host, and I am thrilled to launch a new nerdastic and interactive sub-series titled, drum roll, please. Your choice, our Nerdgasm. In this subseries, you are not just a listener. You're actually a copilot. So let me paint a picture for you.

So imagine Emma, a digital marketer, deciding between an AI driven content and creation tool and your traditional content management system. Or if you wanna be more specific, usually it's a social media management tool. So which can better enhance her creativity and efficiency? Your vote will guide her decision.

Here's another situation. Imagine a small business owner, Alex, who's overwhelmed by the choice between a CRM tool to enhance customer relationships and a project management tool to streamline operations. So which one should Alex choose? And that's where you come in again. You'll be helping real people like Alex and Emma navigate through these digital challenges. Okay.

I'll add 1 more. This is my own. I would need your help. As a nonlinear thinker, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect note taking app that caters to my brainstorming style. So do I go for something visually oriented like a mind mapping tool or a more structured list based to app, you know, with folders and all that. Your insights will help not just me, but others with similar challenges.

What's the point?

So why this sub-series? It's really about bringing our collective minds together and viewing it in different perspectives to tackle the challenges. I aim to combine the art of creative thinking with the science of digital solutions.

On a personal note, I'm a problem solver who loves to experiment. Well, let's face it. It can get lonely and very limiting with just 1 brain working. So what better way to expand the landscape than by including your brains as well? Plus, you'll help me break free from my decision paralysis, and it's an opportunity for all of us to experiment and actually learn together.

How can you join in?

Now the exciting part, how do you participate and engage?

Firstly, we're dealing with real life challenges, your challenges and my challenges. No fictional characters here, okay, or no theoretical situations. Are you overwhelmed by digital choices? Do you face decision paralysis when choosing a digital tool or platform? Remember, it's not about the tech, but the real world problem you need solved digitally. I'll say that again. The real world problem you need solved digitally.

So what I'll do is I'll place a link in the episode show notes where you can submit your challenge or situation. At the end of each episode, you'll have the opportunity to vote for the digital tool you think best solves the problem. Easy voting options will be available for Spotify listeners and others via a link in the show notes.

Now you've got a week to cast your vote, which gives me time, thank you, to prepare the next episode where I will reveal the chosen solution. And guess what? We might even have the creators of these tools join us to delve deeper.

And here's the cherry on top. If you're really, really interested in a tool and you wanna learn how to use them, then you can join me at the Conversologist Lab, where we will experiment with these tools live, helping you apply them at work.

Are you ready?

So are you ready for this interactive journey and the nerdgasms that come with it? I can't wait to start this with all of you. I'm super, super excited.

If you have any questions or want to get involved in another way, feel free to reach out on LinkedIn. That is my platform of choice right now. So just send me a message or a request. Leave a note, please, because usually, I don't just accept any request to connect. I would love it if you can just tell me even a simple note in saying, hey, I heard your podcast episode, the sub-series, these are my comments, questions. Or, hey, if you feel like submitting your own situation through there instead of the link, that's fine too. Whatever makes you comfortable, you do you.

So don't forget to hit that follow button so you don't miss out on this digital decision making roller coaster theories. Alrighty? So thanks for tuning in.

And as always, let's keep the conversation, and this time, the Nerdgasms going.
